Gwangju and Incheon District Offices Adopt FilingBox for Secure Data Sharing

The Gwangju Buk-gu Office and Incheon Namdong-gu Office, both local government organizations, have adopted FilingBox to protect their data from ransomware attacks.

Local governments are increasingly becoming targets of cyberattacks, with attackers focusing more on public institutions than individuals. However, many local governments lack the resources and manpower needed to effectively defend against such attacks. As a result, they must choose solutions that enhance both cybersecurity and operational productivity within a limited budget.

Gwangju Buk-gu and Incheon Namdong-gu selected FilingBox because it provides clearer ransomware prevention compared to antivirus software or behavior detection-based programs.

While other solutions on the market only prevent ransomware under specific conditions, FilingBox was adopted because it can block ransomware in all scenarios using its Create-Read-Only mode.

FilingBox offers ransomware-proof data storage to local governments, helping users maintain productivity while strengthening cybersecurity. Additionally, FilingBox is listed on Korea’s National Pre-Procurement List, making it available for use by all local governments in South Korea.
